About your role as Director of IT
As the Director of IT, we value your good communication skills, collaborative mindset, and willingness to share knowledge. You will manage and develop employees within our team, aligning their efforts with business objectives while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
You will closely engage with the leadership team and stakeholders to understand our overall business goals and related IT needs. As our Director of IT, you will ensure that the IT team has the necessary skills and resources by hiring and providing training opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Establish budgets and roadmaps for key projects and improvements.
- Prioritize projects and align them with available resources. Communicate schedules and plans to stakeholders, keeping them informed of project progress.
- Establish Service-Level-Agreements (SLAs) for critical systems and ensure appropriate tooling and resourcing. Implement and run processes for root cause analysis and make necessary improvements to meet SLAs.
- Build out the necessary infrastructure, tooling, and processes for a new SaaS solution to ensure a positive customer experience. Collaborate with the engineering team to create flexible DevOps processes for continuous delivery.
- Continuously evaluate business systems to identify opportunities for adding, replacing, improving, or retiring systems.
- Manage security systems, policies and programs.
- Define and implement appropriate security processes, ensuring our ability to respond to customer security questionnaires or requests for certifications.
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years of experience managing IT teams
- A solid technical background and deep knowledge of IT systems, cloud, security, databases, DevOps, and software development methodologies.
- Experience managing B2B SaaS solutions and e-commerce systems in public clouds, with a proven record of delivering SLAs.
- Experience in data security, cyber security, and security management.
- Experience formulating and executing a strategic IT roadmap aligned with the company's overall business objectives and managing IT budgets.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team of IT professionals. Able to set goals, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize projects across multiple stakeholders, manage IT resources, and meet delivery timelines.
- Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams in technology selection and implementation projects.
- Ability to work with European and US time zones.
