The Oura Globalization team is a cross functional team formed to meet Oura’s local customers’ needs and implement globalization from start to finish across all teams, international initiatives and squads within the organization. We are now looking for a localization professional to lead the Oura Globalization team’s internal operations and vendor management. In this role you’ll play a crucial role in supporting Oura’s Globalization programs; making sure they run effectively, work with the best and the happiest vendors, use the most advanced tools and have access to right data for decision making. To be successful in this role, you should have a solid understanding of the buyer side localization management in the form of project management, vendor management and/or QA. We are a small but ambitious team and the ideal candidate is someone who is used to wearing multiple hats and has a continuous learning mindset.
Location:
Oulu, Helsinki or remote in Finland
What You will do:
- Manage the localization vendor relationships, contracts and invoicing
- Create training materials, language style guides, and tone of voice documentation for linguists in collaboration with localization managers and the linguistic team, and develop and maintain the localization team’s external knowledge base for linguists and vendors
- Measure localization quality and own localization testing
- Solve issues with tooling and technical queries for vendors and internal stakeholders
- Manage and own localization tooling and develop a scalable tech ecosystem for Globalization programs
- Lead the development of AI solutions for localization
- Monitor localization KPIs and provide data insights to support decision making in the localization programs
We would love to have You on our team, if You have:
- You have +5 years of localization management experience in the tech industry
- You have excellent knowledge of internationalization, translation, and localization processes and you can tailor processes to suit various needs
- You have prior experience with leading vendor relationships
- You’re a great communicator with empathy and ability to foster relationships with teams both in-person and remotely
- You have excellent knowledge of localization tools and keep track of advancements in the localization tech field and AI technology
- You have strong analytical skills and you know how to interpret data for localization needs beyond the traditional translation KPIs.
- You’re fluent in one or more non-English languages (Italian, French, German, Japanese is a plus)
