ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time even when it’s cloudy or dark providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

What will you do in this role?

As a Facilities Coordinator you will be helping with operational day-to-day running matters of our office in Espoo. These might include tasks from ordering and monitoring our vendors working in the office, helping with internal moves, ordering groceries to changing light bulbs or putting up a picture on the wall.

We are looking for someone with a hands-on attitude to getting things done in an efficient and safe way. You don’t mind handling daily routines but also thrive in an environment where tasks emerge and are carried out in a fast manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to the role, as you will be working in an active office environment among your colleagues.

We are an English speaking company, so strong English skills are essential to the role. Finnish is seen as a benefit as you will be working with many local vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Upkeep: Help maintain an orderly and well functioning office environment with tasks such as mail delivery, service desk operations etc
  • Supplies Management: Monitor and restock supplies, such as office supplies, food inventory, coffee etc
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors for facility-related services, such as contractors, maintenance and other visitors
  • Internal moves and space changes: Coordinate and execute smaller internal moves, such as meeting rooms, work desks and other furniture as well as technical equipment moves
  • Facility Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is in good working order. This includes monitoring and addressing issues with plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC.
  • Minor Repairs: Address minor facility repairs or coordinate with maintenance personnel for larger repairs and renovations.

Requirements

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications or coursework in facility management or maintenance is seen as a plus)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting furniture, as needed
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order
  • Ability to both work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in English: A strong command of the English language, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with team members and employees
  • Hands-on attitude to getting things done
  • Basic level of IT skills

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in Finnish: Good command of Finnish language is seen as a benefit to facilitate communication with property maintenance, contractors and other external stakeholders
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours for special projects or emergencies
  • Experience in facility support, janitorial, or maintenance roles preferred
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to promoting a safe workplace
  • Driver’s license
