Winthrop are pleased to announce, we are hiring an ambitious and forward thinking CSA Construction Manager for a new Data Centre project based in Helsinki, Finland.
Requirements
- Manage the co-ordination of the Civil, Structural, and Architectural work packages.
- Implement and manage site plans and support systems in line with project schedule’s
- Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation for client
- A proactive approach to managing client relationship’s in addressing project deliverables / timeframes
- Communicate effectively with the client on the project schedule
- Manage site safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and Project Safety Team.
- Analyse, track and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip
- Review design proposals and scopes
- Develop a project delivery strategy for the CSA work.
- Review construction proposals and related pricing amp; scopes
- Run and lead client amp; other required meetings
- Review client design, highlight discrepancies or deviation from local and international standards whilst leading successful resolution too. Protect the company’s commercial and contractual position in all instances.
- Develop and manage a detailed site plan regarding Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control in conjunction with our QA/QC team to ensure project compliance is achieved.
- Liaise with design team and project design manager to ensure necessary information (as required by construction team) is prioritised (where necessary) is issued and aligns with schedule's.
- Ability to think methodically whilst possessing strong problem-solving skills to resolve design and site challenges.
Skills/Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in the construction industry as Engineer with a Civils or Structural background.
- Proven ability in successfully delivering projects as a main contractor
- Previous experience managing civils and structural packages in Finland
- Experience to fulfil the position of "Responsible Site Manager"
- Bachelors degree in Construction Mgmt/Engineering
- Data Centre experience is advantageous not essential
- Excellent communication skills to develop relationships and manage stakeholders on the project
- Organisational, attention to detail, communication, and time management skills needed
- Proficiency in the use of MS Word amp; Excel is required
