Do you know why it’s called new space?

ICEYE is building and operating its own commercial constellation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data already available to customers. These satellites can take images of Earth at any time even when it’s cloudy or dark. Information derived from these images will help our customers understand the world better and help them make more intelligent decisions. We launched the world’s first SAR microsatellite in January 2018 and have raised $152M in financing to date.

To support the growth of the company, we are now looking for a Product Owner for Ground Segment Missions in our headquarters in Espoo, Finland.

As a Product Owner for the team, you will create and own the product definition and development backlog for your domain.

Challenges you'll help us solve:

You will join our Software Development organization and the Ground Segment Missions product team. The team is responsible for developing and productizing the ICEYE Ground Segment. As the Product Owner for this team you will define and manage the roadmap and backlog for your team and domain.

You will work in the team of product owners and communicate effectively across the organization providing transparency to the plans and progress of your team.

Experience working in a software product management role and understanding of agile software development methodologies and principles is essential.

You need to be a team player and always searching for ways to improve the team and your own contributions

Your attributes that we need:

• 5+ years working experience in space or comparable industry
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Software product management experience
• Understanding of agile software development methodologies
• Ability to provide your team with crystal clear product vision and targets, based on the company goals and objectives
• Ability to provide focus ensuring the organization is working on the right priorities
• Strong experience in working together with customers to form working technical solutions
• Readiness to occasionally visit customer premises around the world

Your extra ones:

• Experience designing or developing satellite ground systems
• Experience, preferably in design or development, with deployed systems (i.e. hardware and software capabilities delivered to a customer’s premise)
