As we are scaling and growing, we are in search of Materials Manager, to strengthen the Oura Operations team. This is an essential role in ensuring Oura’s excellence in sourcing amp; material management from concepting phases to high volume mass production and all the way through to delivering world-class products to our customers.
You oversee amp; develop material management activities from Oura’s global supply base to the final assembly operation factories in a continuous mass production environment. You execute operational material management actions for small batch special orders, and for Oura strategic component purchasing needs.
You are endlessly detail focused, tenacious, go-getter you plan, back-up plan, strategize and execute material flow actions with precision, timing and ease. You are an effective communicator - and build great professional relationships throughout the supply base as well as internally with all the cross-functional teams at Oura. You know how to navigate complex, global, multi-cultural supply bases and teams - negotiate effectively - and solve problems and situations that are highly dependable on superior teamwork.
What You will do:
- Establish yourself as effective sourcing / material management professional throughout Oura internal teams and Oura’s supply base
- Oversee execution amp; continuous development of material management activities throughout Oura’s supply base for mass production products
- Ensure on-time planning, ordering amp; delivering of parts amp; materials from Oura’s supply base to the final assembly factories for small batch special orders
- Own, drive amp; communicate material flow monitoring and tracking develop amp; improve processes and systems
- Manage Oura strategic part amp; component purchasing amp; Inventory management (min-max)
- Help develop suppliers to enable long term viable and competitive business relationships
- Collaborate across the various organizations (operations, engineering, factories, etc.) to ensure business amp; schedule objectives are met
- Help assess and mitigate supply and ecosystem risk to Oura’s business
- Manage and leverage relationships with external suppliers
Requirements
We would love to have You on our team, if you have:
- A degree in engineering or business administration
- Minimum five years of experience in material management and/or strategic sourcing and leading multi-cultural, cross-functional teams
- Technical purchasing experience in sourcing / manufacturing operations
- A proven track record of delivering results
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills complimented by strong communication and coordination skills
- Experience of successful negotiations and always finding a way to co-operate
- Experience in establishing, developing and maintaining sustainable relationships with suppliers
- Previous experience in product data management (ERP, PDM) considered a plus
- Fluent English is essential
