We are looking for an Accounts Payable Lead to join our global finance team. This role will report directly to the Finance Operations Manager and will work on all aspects of the purchase process from generation of purchase orders in collaboration with sourcing and other teams to vendor services, accounts payable process development, accruals and booking cost. Specifically the role will hands-on oversee accounts payable responsibilities in EMEA and ROW.

The ideal candidate is data-driven, process-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and holds others and the organization to a high standard.

The role can be based in our Helsinki or Oulu office.

What You will do:

  • Own the full purchase cycle from the generation of purchase orders and agreements to payment, AP activities and cost bookings
  • Own vendor data and financial relations to ensure a superior partnership experience and timely information exchange
  • Support other internal teams in identifying sources of variance and aiding in making necessary adjustments to the costing system
  • Develop reconciliation procedures, reports and reconciliation schedules for COGS, inventories, working capital turnover, accruals, project costing etc.
  • Create journal entries and perform AP and accrual activities in NetSuite
  • Produce timely and accurate reconciliations for period closing and help accelerate cost close process
  • Liaise with FPamp;A with division, account, cost center and project based metrics and analyses
  • Assist in month end closing, including, but not limited to: Accounts Payable, Inventories
  • Drive the build out, documentation and enforcement of revenue policies, processes and procedures and ensure proper controls and processes are in place and followed
  • Support external audit requirements
  • Support finance teams on ad-hoc analysis and project

We would love to have You on our team, if You have:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in account payables, preferably in the consumer electronics, software and/or consumer health and wellness industry
  • Proficiency in accounting and corporate finance concepts and familiarity with accounting guidelines (FAS, US GAAP)
  • Comprehensive understanding of EU VAT legislation and practices
  • Prior experience of partnering with cross-organizational teams and developing cross-functional workstreams
  • Demonstrated success in prior roles through promotion and/or increased scope of responsibilities
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Experience with accounting softwares, e.g. NetSuite
  • Good command of both Finnish and English

  • Experience with ecommerce, hardware and/or software business models
  • Experience with Floqast, Spendesk and similar secondary finance systems
