- Be part of new projects and innovation in digital education
- Build Ruby on Rails and TypeScript applications
- Look after infrastructure on Heroku and GCP
- Learn and work with data science, AI/ML projects
- Work to scale our platform to support 10X growth
- Drive adoption and integration of relevant new technologies
- Collaborate and mentor team, pair programming and code reviews
What You Have
- Experience working in a remote cross-functional team environment
- Strong sense of ownership, experience leading features from start to finish
- Passion for troubleshooting and problem solving, strive for simplicity
- Excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills - verbal and electronic
- Self-motivated and self-managing with great organizational skills
Technical Skills
- Experience building, maintaining highly interactive web applications and services
- Building software as part of a distributed test-driven agile team, with code reviews, feature branching, continuous integration and delivery
- Proven technical experience developing applications using Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq
- Designing and working with REST APIs, GraphQL, WebSocket
- Experience setting up authentication and authorization systems
- Comfortable or willingness to work on frontend with React ecosystem
- Excellent Git skills, experience working with either GitHub or GitLab
- Search technologies such as ElasticSearch
- Deploying and operating web applications on cloud services such as GCP
- Working knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Interests or Nice to have
- Go and Python programming languages
- GitOps, IaC with Terraform
- Experience or interest in working with Data science, data visualization, AI/ML projects
- Asynchronous messaging technologies, RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka
