Helsinki Device Concept Lab (DCL), Display amp; Materials Team is looking for a
Senior Engineer, Composite Materials
for composite material technology role.
Responsibilities/tasks:
- Development of advanced composite material technologies for Huawei consumer products e.g. phone, tablet and watch
- Accomplish the innovation technology verification as well as the delivery of prototype, targeting the mass production.
- Collaborate and communicate with the Huawei product line and -technology teams in China, collecting requirements and reporting progress of project
- Work closely with all DCL concepts (and stay in close contact with China product teams) Actively proposing new material technologies to be taken in use.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in mechanical, material science, aerospace engineering, or chemistry domain
- Passion for innovation and achievement
- Strong background in advanced composite material development, selection, specification and validation
- Experience with multiple process technologies e.g. Pre-bag compression, molding, autoclave processing compression molding and Insert/over molding
- Background in recycled, bio- and /or recyclable composite materials
- Some experience in project management, especially experience in development of new material or mechanics technologies
- Excellent communication and coordination skills and capability to learn in different technology domain
- Strong wish to succeed and excellent capability to bear high pressure
- Team player who can smoothly and promptly cooperate with technology experts with different backgrounds
- Fluent written and spoken English language skills
- Ability to adapt to multicultural environment.

This is a full-time consultant position with one year fixed-term contract initially and possibility to continue afterwards.
