Helsinki Device Concept Lab (DCL), Display amp; Materials Team is looking for Chinese-speaking expert for technical project management role for material technology development of wearable devices.

Expert for technical project management and functional materials

Responsibilities/tasks:

• Project schedule and delivery quality management
• Set up the project according to the overall plan and report to management team at check points of project
• Collaborate and communicate with the Huawei product line and technology teams in China, collecting requirements and reporting progress of project
• Work closely with all DCL concepts (and stay in close contact with China product teams) Actively proposing new material technologies to be taken in use
• Accomplish the innovation technology verification as well as the delivery of prototype, targeting the mass production.
• Project follow-up meeting arrangement, key tasks tracking, status regularly reporting to China product lines
• Push the procurement/manufacture process and solve the obstacles of the project

Requirements

• MSc or PhD student in mechanical, material science, or chemistry domain
• Fluent written and spoken English, Chinese (mandarin) language skills
• Some experience in project management, especially experience in material science project development management
• Knowledge in some material technology domains e.g. Functional material, plastic or coating technologies
• Good understanding and insights on material and mechanical requirements and trends of consumer devices
• Good skills with MS Office, especially MS project, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong sense of goal and deadline
• Passion for innovation and achievement
• Excellent communication and coordination skills and capability to learn in different technology domain
• Strong wish to succeed and excellent capability to bear high pressure
• Team player who can smoothly and promptly cooperate with technology experts with different backgrounds and Huawei management in China and Finland
• Team working skills as well as ability to work independently
• Ability to adapt to multicultural environment.
