As a software developer, you are interested in what happens under the hood of modern digital sales channels. You are familiar with one or two technologies such as JavaScript, Typescript, React, Node.js, iOS/Android, ReactNative, Clojure, Scala, PHP, Python or some other front-end or back-end technology. Both backend and front-end development interest you but of course we don't expect you to know it all it's much more important that you are eager to learn new technologies and ways of working.
You’ll get to work together with other Columbia Road consultants in a cross-competence team building and growing new digital businesses for our customers in various business domains. This means you may collaborate daily with designers, digital marketers, strategy consultants, as well as our clients' stakeholders and specialists. You’ll have a top-of-the-class development team to support you in learning and you’ll have the ability to create real impact in our clients’ business.

Requirements
aka. here's how you know you're a good fit
- You are a student or recent graduate with some work experience or projects related to software development
- You are self-driven, active and want to continuously learn new things
- You understand the basics of digitalisation and you approach problems in an analytical manner
- You would love to work in a fast-paced environment solving real-life customer problems from various business domains and your motivation comes from the results and impact your work creates, rather than just the technical beauty of your code
- You are comfortable communicating matters related to your own work and you enjoy working with other people in an agile environment it’s not a problem for you to present your own ideas to a small group of people from time to time, for example in a workshop
- By nature, you are analytical and like to solve problems
- We don’t expect you to have multiple years of experience or be in the final year of your studies lots of positive energy and a get things done attitude is the winning combination
Location: We value close and constant collaboration in our team work whether it’s with customers, fellow Roadies and/or consultants from other companies as it enables us to learn from each other and work more efficiently towards a shared goal. Often this is achieved best by working from the same location. Hence, we can only consider candidates who live (or plan to move) within commuting distance of Helsinki or Tampere.
