Carbo Culture is seeking a Finland based Recruiter to join the team!
Carbo Culture is a carbon removal technology developer on a mission to help mitigate climate change by permanently removing CO2. We’re headquartered in Helsinki with a subsidiary and ops in the UK and the US. Our team is largely remote, and we meet for team or company wide summits. We work closely together online across time zones using tools such as slack, zoom and the Google suite.
We’re looking for a Recruiter to find new Carbo Culture team members for our growing company. This is a key role in our team, equipping our company to grow and meet our mission of delivering safe carbon removal on a gigaton scale.
As our first in-house recruiter, you will contribute to our hiring roadmap, sourcing candidates and managing the process from idea to hire. You will be the first point of contact with a prospective candidate, responsible for convincing them of our company vision, vetting them for skills and culture match, as well as ensuring that the candidates have a kind and fulfilling candidate and trial period experience. You’ll work with our team leads on making each recruitment process efficient, timely and engaging.
We’re looking for someone who understands recruitment tools and technologies well, who is a driven self-starter who thrives in an area with little direction or oversight, and who can be relied on as a Carbo Culture representative for one of our most critical constituents, employee candidates!
You can effectively communicate the usefulness of our solution and the climate urgency to our potential employees. You are experienced in recruitment and candidate sourcing, you’re a fast learner, great collaborator and love working in a startup team in a hands-on environment.
This role is an individual contributor role, reporting first to our Head of Ops Charlotta, and later to the HR team lead, and working closely with both our Engineering and Commercial teams to understand and shape up varied role and candidacy requirements. You’ll own the candidate sourcing process, working independently to find candidates, do initial interviews with them, and oversee the later stage interviews as well.
Location: Ideally in Finland, with travel expected 3-4 times a year. The rest of our Finland based team are located in the Helsinki region, where we have a remote office in a co-working space in the city centre.
Your experience and skills
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience
- Experience with recruiting tools like Linkedin
- Experience managing the recruitment process, candidate pipeline and interview
- Experience in both hiring and letting people go
- Fluency in English
- Nice to have: University degree in a related field
