About our IT Team
Our four IT experts are the genius minds behind our operative systems at Vaadin. They don’t make much buzz about themselves, but they surely are the go-to experts when it comes to our vaadin.com service or designing and developing our cloud environments. The team members are spread across two countries (Finland and Germany) and four cities, but they maintain team spirit via open communication and by occasionally getting together for fun activities and delicious meals.
We want to be honest with you: not everything is perfect. Applications are being moved to the web and cloud as a result of the digital transformation, therefore there is a lot to do and consider! We need someone to assist us in this endeavor and maximize their potential. Are you the expert we are looking for?
You get to use your expertise to:
- Improve and maintain our operative Linux systems running in the cloud and on-premise
- Manage server and network infrastructure, storage, databases, and integrations
- Provide IT support for different departments
- Work on continuously improving the security, automation, and maintainability of the systems
Required skills for this role:
- Solid knowledge of Linux platforms
- Hands-on experience with virtual servers, containers, networks, security, storage, and databases
- Comfortable in scripting and basic understanding of programming (e.g. Java, Python, Bash)
We communicate in English, so the Finnish language is not required for this role! Our offices are located in Turku and in Berlin, but you can also work remotely from anywhere in Finland.
