What are we looking for? Program manager is the key roles at Haltian in ensuring the success of our products and deliverables. It is quite common that we develop our new products with some lead customer and thus working with customer interface has a big role. Generally, in Haltian there are programs that deliver something that is solely owned by and developed for a customer, or it is customization of our IoT solutions to fit better to customer’s need, or it is development of our existing asset. We work in a global scope and thus experience also cultural differences. Equally important to customer interface is driving of our RD development teams and working with our suppliers to ensure deliverables in time, budget, and quality.
Your role:
- Taking care of customer interface
- Planning of project schedules and budgets
- Keeping track and reporting progress, schedule, and cost against the plan
- Driving the dedicated project RD teams (ID, mechanics, BB HW, PWB, RF, antenna, sourcing, UI/UX, SW, testing, production...)
- Working with external suppliers and services (e.g., various 3rd party testing services) of the project
- Working with manufacturing i.e., EMS partners
- Driving certification of the product (CE/FCC/ISED/UKCA/ATEX...)
- Problem solving
- Effort estimates for the new offers together with our sales team
- RD excellence; ensuring following of our processes and creation of all agreed documentation
- Supporting your colleague Program Managers
- Depending on where the customer is there can be a need to sometimes have meetings out of office hours
What do you need to succeed in this role:
This time we would like to emphasize strong SW background over the HW knowledge but not saying that HW knowledge is irrelevant. As a minimum you would want to learn to speak HW as well. Previous experience of program management will be useful. Fluent written and spoken English is necessary and last, but not least good people management and team player skills are essential. To be successful you will need a proactive stance and make-it-happen mentality.
