YOUR ROLE

The Head of People and Talent will be responsible for leading the company's talent management and acquisition strategy, including developing and implementing employee retention initiatives, and building a strong company culture. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role, experience in the tech industry, and a strong understanding of the startup environment and challenges and opportunities in running global, partially remote teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement employee retention initiatives to ensure high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Define and implement smooth onboarding processes for new employees
  • Collaborate with the management team to build a strong company culture that supports the company's mission and values
  • Oversee the performance management process, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations
  • Manage the company's employee benefit, development and training programs
  • Together with the management team, develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to attract top talent in the industry
  • Coordinate recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring, with the support of line managers
  • Define and maintain processes for the above in lightweight and effective manner, as well as choosing, implementing and maintaining HR management system.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in talent acquisition and/or management, preferably with a focus on the tech industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Skills in Finnish and Swedish are a big plus.
  • Sufficient knowledge about relevant employment law and regulations and willingness to learn more
  • Strong understanding of the startup environment and startup-mentality
  • Proven track record of success in a similar role
  • Experience with performance management and employee development programs
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
