We are looking for an Algorithm Test Engineer to strengthen our algorithm testing team. As an Algorithm Test Engineer, your main responsibility will be to ensure that algorithms are working well. Job includes tasks from single case debugging to big data analysis. You will work as a part of our testing team with close cooperation with our software, hardware and science teams.
Preferred location for this position is in Oulu
As a Algorithm test engineer at Oura, you will:
- Review and analyse algorithm specifications and requirements. Derive testing requirements from specifications.
- Coordinate, design, develop and perform test plans and tests, which are covering algorithm specifications and requirements
- Report and prove the realisation of the algorithm requirements
- Generation of test tools/scripts for new functionality and regression tests. This includes automation of tests to improve repeatability and efficiency of completing test execution .
- Design, improve and implement test methodologies and processes.
- Debug and problem solving for test failures and issues identified at all stages of product development
- Take responsibility for product quality and release process
We would love to have You on our team, if you have:
- Attitude to drive quality
- Good knowledge of different software testing methods
- Experience about testing or developing of algorithms
- Development experience or test automation scripting using Java or Python
- Experience from test automation frameworks.
- Experience in planning of test strategies and test plans for test automation
- Experience in maintaining of CI/CD tools (for example: Jenkins, github actions)
- Have a good problem solving skills and analytical mindset
- Independent way of working
- Fluent written and spoken English
- A Collaborative, proactive, "let’s get things done attitude
- Basic knowledge of embedded devices
