As we continue scaling, we are in search of a seasoned Sourcing Director to lead and strengthen the Oura sourcing team. This is an essential role in developing and executing sourcing strategy and ensuring Oura’s end-to-end operational excellence in sourcing management from concepting phases to high volume mass production and securing supply of materials and components in volatile market conditions.
The Sourcing Director will lead and manage Oura Sourcing team. Responsibilities vary from creating, developing, and executing strategic sourcing initiatives amp; supply chain projects, to further strengthen Oura’s supply capabilities through exceptionally managed supply chains.
We are looking for an experienced sourcing professional and leader with growth mindset. We are expecting you to know how to navigate complex, global, multi-cultural supply bases and teams you are experienced and effective negotiator and communicator - you solve problems and situations that are highly dependable on superior teamwork. You feel equally comfortable in leading people and managing projects. As a leader you lead from the front, you excel in coaching, empowering and developing teams and individuals to shine in their job.
What You will do:
- Establish yourself as an effective leader and sourcing management professional throughout Oura internal teams and Oura's supply base. Key member in Oura Supply Chain management team
- Solid line manager, leading the team of sourcing professionals
- Oversee the execution and continuous development of sourcing activities and processes throughout Oura’s product lifecycles. Enhance Program ways of working
- Own, develop, execute and communicate sourcing strategy and strategic sourcing management initiatives and supply chain projects throughout Oura’s supply base including contractual frameworks, risk assessments amp; supplier performance assessments
- Own BOM cost and material availability
- Supplier selection and development to enable long term viable and competitive business relationships
- Assess and mitigate supply and ecosystem risk to Oura’s business
- Collaborate across the various organizations (operations, engineering, factories, etc.) to ensure business amp; schedule objectives are met
Requirements
- A degree in engineering or business administration
- Minimum ten years of experience in sourcing / strategic sourcing and leading multi-cultural, cross-functional team / Mechanical sourcing experience preferred
- A proven track record of delivering results and leading team of professionals
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills complimented by strong communication, leadership and program management skills
- Solid experience on financials in supply chain
- Experience in establishing, developing and maintaining sustainable relationships with suppliers. (Including supplier contracts, supplier quality and supplier performance metrics)
